Code of Ethics
The community of students, faculty, and staff at HIA upholds this Code of Ethics as a reflection of the behavior that advances our shared values.
Integrity: In all our actions, we will be guided by a code of conduct that reflects our values, unaffected by circumstances, personal gain, public pressure, or private temptation.
Respect: We will treat everyone with consideration for their circumstances and with recognition of their worth as human beings.
Honesty: We will embrace truthfulness, fairness, and integrity, and demand the absence of fraud or deception in ourselves and in those we engage with.
Responsibility: We will be accountable for the care and well-being of others, as well as for the consequences of our actions.
Freedom: We will exercise personal freedom while ensuring others are free from arbitrary interference due to conditions or circumstances, recognizing that freedom must be balanced by responsibility for its outcomes.
Empathy: We will strive to understand the feelings, thoughts, and ideas of others, so that our actions may be guided by compassion and fairness.
Achievement: We will use our abilities to pursue excellence and will celebrate the high achievements of others.
